ROLE AND PURPOSE:

Respond to the unique needs of at-risk students. Provide guidance services to students, testing coordination, information interpretation services, career and college information, and student schedule recommendations. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Master’s degree

Valid Texas teaching certificate

Valid Texas counseling certificate 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of tests and testing procedures

Knowledge of computers and its use in instruction and administration

Physical ability to perform job duties

Experience:

Three years of successful teaching experience

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

9. Demonstrate skills in anticipating, managing, and resolving conflicts.
